The Municipal Service Commission Kolkata has invited applications for the post of assistant and sub-assistant engineers recruitment 2014. The post of assistant engineer is open for post graduate electrical engineers while the post of sub-assistant electrical engineer is open for B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma qualified candidates. The organisation is paying a good salary based on government grade pay. Details follow the post below-

1. Assistant Engineer (Electrical)

Essential Qualification:

i) Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) from a recognized University or its equivalent. 

Desirable Qualification:

i) 1 year post-graduate training (practical) / study / research / practical experience. 

ii) Passed “O” level exam in computer application approved through AICTE. 

Pay:Pay Band - 4A, Rs.15,600 to 42,000 and a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-. 

Tentative vacancies: Main Panel : General -04, S.C.-02, OBC - 1

Supplementary Panel : General 2, ST-01, Gen (PH)-01 

PH candidates with hearing impairment (maximum 50%) are eligible on medical grounds for this post. 

Age:  Lower - 18 and upper age limit 37 (for General category cndidates) as on January 1, 2014. 

Age relaxation for S.C. /S.T./OBC and P.H candidates as per rules.

2. Sub-Assistant Engineer (Electrical)

Essential Qualification:
i) A diploma in Electrical Engineering from State Council for Engineering / Technical Education or equivalent:
ii) 1 yr practical training / study / practical experience in Municipal Engineering work.

Desirable Qualification:
Working knowledge in computer is preferable.

Pay: Rs. 9000/- 40,500 + Grade Pay Rs.4400/-

Tentative vacancies: Main Panel : Genearl - 7, S.C.- 5, OBC - 3.
Supplementary Panel : General -4, General (PH) -1,SC-1,ST-1, OBC -1

PH candidates with hearing impairment (maximum 50%) are eligible on medical grounds for this post.
