The Union Public Service Commission IAS Examination Result 2013 is on its way and might be declared any time during the second week of June 2014. According to insider rumors, the UPSC IAS 2013 final results are currently being expected to be declared on 11th June 2014 or 12th June 2014, i.e.Wednesday or Thursday. The Interview of the selected candidates in Civil Services Exam for entry to various elite civil services like the IAS, IPS, IRS were held during April - June and the results are likely to be declared on 11 June 2014. The date is yet not confirmed
Over 2.5 lakh candidates sat for the exam this time. There were reports of decline in the number of aspirants throughout the country, who actually sat for the exam this year. In Madurai and Puducherry, only 50% of the registered candidates appeared in the examination this year. The count was similar in Lucknow where only 47% actually sat in the examination. Similar scenario was reported in other cities like Ahmedabad where only 40% wrote the examination.
